With a little attention you can discover that many witches and wizards are on the streets of Shenzhen. No matter if it’s Halloween or not, no matter if they get treats or not, they are always on duty. They use their magic brooms to sweep filth away, and keep our environment clean and beautiful.
After cleaning up the trash, these hard-working witches and wizards still need to do garbage sorting manually.
In order to bring public attention to citizens to learn the importance of garbage classification and sorting in Shenzhen, local environmental awareness organization, Green Foot, hit the streets to surprise our witches and wizards, listen to their voices and stories, and thank them for their hard work.
Wearing a Halloween costume made of trash, volunteers took to the streets to teach and encourage passerbys to classify and sort their garbage.
The Halloween activity was organized by Green Foot, and executed by a group of volunteers. The idea came from Sylphya and was inspired by Mezzo and Camilo. Video shot and edited by Zac. The activity took place on 29th of October, 2017. Participants: Angela, Sylphya, Zac, Tina, Pony, Mezzo, Sarah, Laowei, Peter, Yvette, Stasia.
